We addressed questions and concerns
Concerns: budget, time commitments, qualifications
Results: we have room in budget, TJ has the time and qualifications 

Cora moved that we accept TJ's proposal to lead the volunteer training and MONEY will distributed in installments (flat rate $1500) and will be open to everyone and will BEGIN in JANUARY. mandatory to coordinators
Darryn seconded.
2 opposed (Allan and Jonah). 1 abstension (Aaron). 8 in favour. It passed.

We were contacted by Oak Bay High
Resources etc. for their new GSA
Wants someone to go to talk at their meetings
3:10 on Mondays (some time in the new year)
Allan and Daisy will both be in contact with the Counsellor. 

2 Cop Cards
Tristain found business cards with a summary of your rights in the event of arrest
We will make these avalible
There is also a Trans specific one from Ontairo, someone is trying to find out if it is all still applicable here in BC

3 Volunteer Training
A decision has not yet been made
TJ has offered to do it
The Collective Coordinators could also do it
Allan has identified some other external sources: The Center in Vancouver, Peer Net BC, and Out on Campus (SFU).
How do we define Volunteer Training?
Office Training, Anti-Oppression Training, Peer Counselling Training
People should bring information on all the possibilities for next week.
This will be listserved for more contribution and decided on next week.

She found some online and some print
Buy 1 of each so we can try it out

Mirko is awesome
He will give us an update in January
This will continue at the beginning of each month
Receipts can go in the Mirko's box - make sure to write on the receipt what it's for.

We're still getting random extra xtra wests
We're giving them to the Library / BibiloCafé
Allan will contact them

Pictures are awesome
We should figure out some method of making sure people are ok with pictures being in said pictures
Release forms?

We had a party - it was awesome!
Miryam suggested the band should get an honourarium

10 Workstudy
Find out about workstudy eligibilty from our end (Andrew will do this)
Check with UVSS about Workstudy vs. Position conflict (Andrew will also do this)
An email will be sent out saying we need stuff in by next Thursday. You don't necessarily have to have workstudy approval yet.

Jonah wants a key because he is often here after hours
Can non-position people get keys?
Maybe sign out a key for the term?
Voted on a case by case basis

Mim made a lovely proposal for a discussion group.
Informal, queer, theme driven discussion group.

7 Workstudy

8 Posters
We need posters so people know we exist!
Does anyone want to design posters?
Roger was volunteered, even though he wasn't here.
We would also need people to put up the posters.
Maybe people could sign up for a building or two each
A whole new look!

9 Vision Meeting Proposal
Next semester we need to do: Vision, Mission Statement, Goals, Constitution Changes, Logo, A Whole New Look
Andrew suggests: every 2nd collective meeting be devoted to this
Miryam moved to do this. Mirko seconded. It passed.
Name suggested: Makeover!

10 Volunteer Training
Volunteer training is important
We can do this internally
Multiple people adding different parts - Different Pride members, EQHR, Counselling, other Advocacy groups?
Sessions?
- As few as possible, to make sure everyone can go to all of them
- An afternoon session, with food and games (Lactose free food is nice too)
Mim is no fun
Cora moved to do this, Darryn seconded. It passed with the condition that it isn't ratified till more input is added.

11 Meetings
Meetings will continue till the 18th.
Andrew / Cora will make a survey for meeting times next semester
Darryn moved Makeover! meetings won't start till next semester. Ilaina seconded. It passed.
