African-Caribbean Students Association [ ACSA ]
University of Victoria
African-Caribbean Students Association [ ACSA ] is an University of Victoria Students Society-sponsored student organization, founded to increase cultural awareness and solidarity within the African and Caribbean Diaspora on the University of Victoria campus. ACSA's goals and objectives are:
- To cultivate friendships
- To celebrate multiculturalism by learning about other cultures
- To work together towards helping our homelands
- To create a safe network of support, help and encouragement
- To eliminate racism in collaboration with the Students of Colour Collective
- To raise awareness of the African-Caribbean community in collaboration with the British Columbia Afro Heritage Center and other organizations
