What is the UVSS? Besides being another acronym that you have to memorize at university? Well, for starters, you are. (You and your 16, 000+ fellow undergrads).
The University of Victoria Students' Society (UVSS) was founded in 1963 and is a student society that represents all undergraduate students at the University of Victoria.
The nutshell: we provide services, events and political advocacy to students. We also administer and provide resources to clubs and course unions.
The UVSS is a non-profit organization run by students for students. Its annually elected student board of directors is responsible for a $10 million a year operation that is housed in the Student Union Building.
