Welcome! 

As an undergraduate student at UVic, you are a member of the University of Victoria Students' Society (UVSS) and the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS). We work on your behalf by offering essential services, throwing great events and defending your interests to all levels of government.

The UVSS is Local 44 of the CFS, a union of student unions made up of over 500,000 students across the country. The CFS advocates for an affordable and accessible education and it pools the resources of its member locals in order to provide student owned and operated services such as the Studentsaver discount card, the National Student Health Network, Travel CUTS, and the Student Work Abroad Program.

Denis Rancourt

Denis is a former professor of phyiscs from the University of Ottawa. Denis' lecture, titled "How Free is your Education?" will examine academic and personal freedoms in the university setting.

Amy Goodman

Renowned journalist and host of the radio program Demoracy Now! will be reading from and signing copies of her new book: Breaking the Sound Barrier on Thursday November 26th.

The event takes place from 7pm-9pm at the UVic Student Union Building in the Michele Pujol Room.
